Our friend Thierno is back from his summer in the village. The city dwellers in West Africa usually all spend at least a little time in their home village each year. Children will often spend the entire summer vacation, and that's what Thierno did. He came by Thursday evening to greet us, and we gave him the gifts that Grandma had sent to him.
