Technology in the Developing World

At the risk of sounding like a broken record...sorry for being out of touch a few more days. I guess we just had it good the first several months in Senegal, because communications have been terrible lately. I'm online now using a friend's internet account because ours is not working, and I'm using another friend's DSL modem because ours is not working. One corner of our bedroom looks like a techno-spider has spun a web of wires. We are praying that things will 'coast' for awhile with nothing else breaking.
