Well, Chase told us he wanted a surprise party this year. This is kind of a challenging thing to do, we thought, until he said, "All you have to do is close the door, everyone hides, and when I come in, you just turn on the light, jump out, and yell Surprise!" ---- No problem.
All the kids were able to dress up in superhero costumes thanks to a couple of Nana's who gave us plenty. They jumped on the trampoline with balloons, blew bubbles, played 'Pin the Spider on Spiderman', and colored pictures of superheroes. Of course, we ate cake and ice cream!

WOW! ZAP! POP! ZOWIE! What a great looking super hero birthday! (I'm sure the above expressions are what would flash up on an old Batman show). That cake looked awesome!
Not the first time I've seen Batman in cowboy boots, but it is unique.
