Not Your Average Pick-Pocket

Being a popular tourist stop, Lake Rose does not suffer from a shortage of theives anyway, but when the Dakar Rally passes through, thieves from all over the region take time out of their busy schedules to accomodate the influx of tourists. This year was no exception. My friend Stan took a group of volunteers to the 2007 Dakar Rally back in January. One of the guys was piping music into his ears via headphones connected to the i-Pod in his pocket while watching the race, when suddenly the music stopped. Reaching into his pocket, he realized the i-Pod was no longer there. Now that's a top-notch pick-pocket!
