Marriage on his Mind

The first Sunday of December, we attended the wedding of the pastor at the French Baptist church. The ceremony is much less formal and much more celebratory than American-style weddings, and Chase soaked it up. Saturday, he told Crystal that he was going to marry Crystal's Senegalese friend, Helen, when he gets bigger. Then, Sunday evening, at our New Year party, Chase asked his friend Hanna (8 years old) if she was married. Shocked, she said "No way! I'm not old enough to get married." To which Chase replied "Why are you wearing a ring?", and Hanna explained that wearing a ring on your fingers doesn't mean you're married.
