Working for a Good Cas
The carpenter finally showed up to build the cas (pronounced 'cause' and means 'hut' or 'house'). Now the 'roofer' has to come put the thatch on - he should be here Tuesday, if he is more timely than his brother, the carpenter. Technically, since it will be a thatched cas, it will be called a paillote (pie-yote), which comes from the word 'paille' which means 'thatch'. I'll post another picture when it is finished.
