The Kitchen

The kitchen is a pretty good size, though like most kitchen in the world, there's not enough cabinet space. I'm having shelves built on the wall to the left (out of sight) of the picture. The stove goes in the space under the window at the end of the counter, and the refridgerator goes in the corner to the right of the picture, on the same wall as the window. We also have a hutch-like pantry (a stand alone piece of furniture) that will go on the wall to the right, opposite the sink. On appliances, you don't have much choice where to place them, unless you want to have the house rewired, because they require special outlets with breakers that are already installed. You can see the breaker switch for the refridgerator in the middle of the wall to the right of the window. We have purchased the stove/oven, and we are borrowing/trying-out the refridgerator. We'll have to borrow dishes and pots and pans until the crate arrives, but the mission has things like that on hand for this very reason.
